The struggle is real, but not permanent!

Your weakness will turn to winning!

Advertisements

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2 Corinthians 12:9

There are days when you feel weakness and nothing seems to be going right. But then the flip side, there will be days when your weakness turns to winning. Ttrue warriors are winners because they worship! I will admit it, at times, I don’t like the fact that I’m weak – But that changes when I focus on Jesus, who is strong! In my human nature, sometimes I let my fear of weakness speak louder than my trust in that God is wiser, stronger, and more powerful than I will ever be. I sometimes forget that God supplies all the strength that I need. Answer the call of the Lord.

A world where weakness is seen as costly. But the Kingdom of God is different. The Kingdom says to be afraid of those moments when you think you are independently strong. At all costs we must avoid the delusions of strength and fully depend on the grace of God. God’s grace makes a way for God’s strength to enter into our weakness.

Grace gives you the freedom from being disappointed that you cannot do life on your own – this is a to claim victory over these insecurities and a win over the pressures the world puts on us. With grace, you always win. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.
They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm.”
Psalm 20:7–8.

As you go through your day, remember this: Even though you struggle with your weakness, your weakness is what allows God to pull you from your struggle.

It is in our weakness that we see our need for God.

So when it’s all said and done, be reminded that your struggle is real, but it’s not permanent.

Laziness Ruins Happiness

Advertisements What Makes Diligence a Virtue? Most people do not want to be thought of as lazy — as a person averse to hard work. We all know laziness is a vice — a corrupting and addicting use of a good gift: rest. Leisure in proper doses is a wonderful, refreshing gift of God. But habitualContinue reading →

Daily Prayer – The Great Shepherd

Advertisements

Follow the Great Shepherd!

I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd. John 10:16

Heavenly Father, bring us together as one. Give us your Spirit so that we may know You, so that joy may fill our hearts, not only for ourselves but also for others. Root out evil from the earth. Sweep away all that offends You, all lying, deceit, and hate between people, fellowship and nations. Grant that all people may come to know You so that all conflict may be swept away and Your eternal kingdom may arise we may rejoice in it. Your kingdom can come to people even while on earth to bring them happiness and to make them Your own children. Yes, Lord God, we want to be Your children, Your people, held in Your hand, so that Your name may be honoured, Your kingdom may come, and Your will be done on earth as in heaven. We hear Your voice Lord, and we follow after You! In Jesus Name, Amen.

Are you trapped by religion?

Life by the Spirit

Life by the Spirit

13 You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. 14 For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” 15 If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.

16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whateveryou want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.Galatians 5:13-18

Free will is one of the greatest gifts God gave us. He gave us the freedom to make our own choices. That means we can choose to live by the flesh or to live by the Spirit. As Christians we should choose to live by the Spirit, to be led by the Spirit.

Unfortunately, free will has also led to the demise and destruction of humanity and creation. Free will has led to poor decision making throughout our history. Free will has le
d to corruption, greed, infidelity, addiction, idolatry, pride, jealousy, hatred, war, a planet beyond repair (which was destroyed by man and is beyond repair by man alone) and many other poor decisions too many to mention.

One of the biggest failures that free will has led to is man-made religions. Religions that do not follow the full teachings of the Bible. Religions that adopt the teachings of man and not of the bible. This is the single worst decision you can make is to choose to be trapped by a particular man-made religion.

Do not be trapped by religion. Be freed by using your God given free will to follow Jesus.

The best advice you can follow is to be led by the Spirit, to discern through the Spirit, to let the Spirit intercede for you, to follow the teachings of the Bible and no other man-made teachings. Gods word is the only truth we should choose. Choose to love Jesus. Choose to love each other. Choose the Spirit.
