Heavenly Father, Thank You for bringing me safely to the beginning of this new day. Thank You for keeping me safe through the night, and I pray that today may be a day where I live and move and have my being in You. Lord, I pray that the words that come from my mouth, the thoughts that are formed in my heart and the motives behinds all my actions, words and thoughts may be pleasing in Your sight and honoring to Your name.

Holy Spirit, I pray that You would be both my guide and my restrainer in all I do and say today, so that my words and deeds are not a work of my own flesh, but are guided by the promptings of Your Holy Spirit. Help me Lord, to walk in spirit and truth and keep me today so that my eyes keep looking to Jesus and my ears are open to Your still small voice. Oh Lord, I pray that You are glorified in all I do.

Keep me I pray, from all temptation and deliver me from all the evils of the day and may today be a day when I learn more of You, so that I may grow in grace and in a knowledge of my Lord and Saviour. Help me therefore to walk humbly before You all the days of my life. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Prayers of Gratitude (final)

But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment:
John 16:7‭-‬8

26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you John 14:26

Heavenly Father, today we want to thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Jesus, You said You had to go away so that the Helper, the Holy Spirit would come. And now, because we have put our trust in You, this gift and access to the power of the Holy Spirit has been given to us.

We may find it difficult to fully grasp and understand it all, but we thank You for equipping us and giving us the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is oir Counselor, Helper and Teacher. The Holy Spirit empowers us with supernatural strength and power to do things that we could not do on our own.

We are so thankful that we are never alone. Jesus, You walk with us. Abba Father is always with us and we are empowered by the Holy Spirit. Thank You, Lord, for providing for us in so many ways.

We are sorry for the times that we have grieved the Holy Spirit in our lives and instead have tried to live out of our own strength and power. Please forgive us. Help us to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and to obey Your promptings in our lives.  We are so thankful that we do not have to live this life alone. Thank You for providing what we need today. In Jesus Name, Amen.

“The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!” Mark 1:15

Heavenly Father, we come into Your presence now, the Almighty God. We repent, believing in You and trusting Your name, knowing you have saved us. Your will is save all Your people, over the whole world and that we all may repent and be redeemed. Grant us the thoughts of Your heart and wisdom so we may understand Your will. We are committed to You, the Holy, just, righteous, and merciful God. Grant that we Your children are led and guided by Your Spirit every day. Turn our hearts to You so that you can make us more as You want us to be, more Christ-like. Turn our hearts to You until Your goals of atonement and redemption are reached through the quiet working of Your almighty power. In Jesus Name, Amen.
