Holy Spirit Comforter

Daily Prayer – 21 October

14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

15 (John testified concerning him. He cried out, saying, “This is the one I spoke about when I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’”) 16 Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. John 1:14–16

Heavenly Father, help us to hear Your Word. Help us come to You with open hearts to the Saviour, Jesus Christ, who leads us into Your loving arms. Hear our prayers and let Your face shine on us. Send a new age, a new salvation to the earth, to glorify of Your name. Show us that what we have learned about You is true and that we may live in that truth and find our way to heaven, to the glory of Your name. Father God, it may at times seem You are far away. But we know that our voices reach You and that your Holy Spirit will encourage us to be your workers for the Lord Jesus. Send your Spirit, Father. Send the Comforter, the Guiding light, who leads us into all truth. We trust ourselves and our daily lives to You. We want to be more faithful each day. Help us, Your children, to remember we belong to you, God. No matter how dark it is, help us remember that You are with us. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Prayers of Gratitude (final)

But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment:
John 16:7‭-‬8

26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you John 14:26

Heavenly Father, today we want to thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Jesus, You said You had to go away so that the Helper, the Holy Spirit would come. And now, because we have put our trust in You, this gift and access to the power of the Holy Spirit has been given to us.

We may find it difficult to fully grasp and understand it all, but we thank You for equipping us and giving us the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is oir Counselor, Helper and Teacher. The Holy Spirit empowers us with supernatural strength and power to do things that we could not do on our own.

We are so thankful that we are never alone. Jesus, You walk with us. Abba Father is always with us and we are empowered by the Holy Spirit. Thank You, Lord, for providing for us in so many ways.

We are sorry for the times that we have grieved the Holy Spirit in our lives and instead have tried to live out of our own strength and power. Please forgive us. Help us to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and to obey Your promptings in our lives.  We are so thankful that we do not have to live this life alone. Thank You for providing what we need today. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Is This The End?

The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things that must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who bore witness to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near. Revelation 1:1-3
