Walk in The Way of Love!

Just as Christ loves us!

Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
Ephesians 5:1‭-‬2

By following God’s example and imitating Him as best we can with the hearts of children ready to learn and be guided, walk with Him in love and adoration all your days. As Christ loved us and died for us so we may be saved. This was a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God, an aroma pleasing to the Lord.

In the days before Christs death, the people were required to make animal sacrifices to atone for their sins. It wasn’t so much the aroma that pleased the Lord, but rather their act of atonement. Christ died for us and with his death so those animal sacrifices were no longer needed as Christ has paid the price for our sins.

Laziness Ruins Happiness

Advertisements What Makes Diligence a Virtue? Most people do not want to be thought of as lazy — as a person averse to hard work. We all know laziness is a vice — a corrupting and addicting use of a good gift: rest. Leisure in proper doses is a wonderful, refreshing gift of God. But habitualContinue reading →

Daily Prayer – Anchor Deep

Advertisements

Anchored in Christ!

Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long Psalm 25:5

Heavenly Father,I don’t know who or what will cross my path today. But I do know that You are my Rock and my Fortress. You are my Shield and my Strong Tower. Help me to anchor myself to You today. Teach me how to stand strong in You and choose only Your way today. Help me walk by Your truth and not my feelings. Help me to embrace anything that comes my way as an opportunity to see You at work and as an opportunity to point others to You. Thank You that You love me and nothing can ever take that away from me! Even if I fail today and fall short, You whisper Your unconditional love deep into my soul and remind me that Your mercies are new every morning. That truly amazes me, Lord. Thank You for meeting with me today. Would You wake me again tomorrow with the same sweet whisper of Your love? I can’t wait to meet with You again. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Daily Prayer – Find Your Secret Place!

Advertisements

Quiet Time in the Morning!

“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Matthew 6:5-7

Heavenly Father, You have raised me from my bed this morning and awoken me from my sleep. I thank you that I can find my secret place to pray and speak to You, Abba Father. Enlighten my heart and mind, open my mouth that I may praise You, Holy Father. Jesus Christ, let the light of Your face come to me, Your disciple that I may behold the unapproachable light. Guide me as I walk towards working by Your commandments, in faith, You are always faithful. Lord God, who loves mankind the most, I pray that You help me at all times and in all things. Deliver me from all things evil and lead me to Your eternal Kingdom. For you are my Creator, Provider and Giver of everything good. I praise you, Father, who works in greatness and mysterious deeds for all of us. I thank you for not destroying us because of our sins. Grant to me, O Lord, that I have peace of mind as I begin with my day. I offer you all my hard work and perseverance as you have persevered for us. In Jesus Name, Amen.
